The Proposal

The Proposal!

I've been asked "how did he do it?!" countless times. The pics were released and people assumed what may have happened.

Well...HERE IT IS

It was Travis' Birthday (Oct 13, 2012) I cooked him a special dinner of lasagna (his favorite) and a lemon meringue pie. I was cutting up the pie in the kitchen to be eaten and he said he was going to go upstairs and grab his camera to take a pic of the lasagna. As I'm taking a picture of the pie (I was very proud-it was my first meringue!) he set down a taco bell sauce packet next to the pie. My back was turned to him. The packet said "Why say no when you can say yes?" With it being his birthday I thought he was referring to something else. I turned around and he was on one knee with the ring in his hand and another sauce packet. I didn't even read it or answer I just hugged and kissed him. I later said "You already know the answer." We'd commented on the odd-ness that taco bell would print a hot sauce packet saying "Will you marry me?" a few weeks prior and I guess he kept one just in case. After we had our moment he handed me one more that said "You have chosen wisely"

He later confessed it was a spur of the moment decision to propose. He'd had a plan in place to ask the next week while his parents would be in town. But said "I was sitting there, looking at the painting you made me and the dinner you'd cooked and I was just so happy I didn't want to wait."

Now here's the pics from our night!

Let's start at the beginning

Hello friends, family and loved ones.
I've been hesitant to do a blog on our wedding process. While I love to share the fun and exciting things that I'm sure you all are interested in (or you wouldn't be reading) I do not want to offend or alienate those who are not invited.
Travis and I made the difficult decision to do a very small intimate wedding. While there are so many people in our lives that we love unfortunately not all can be present. This doesn't mean we care about you any less. This was just the best decision for us.
So here is my attempt to share our special day and process.
